I am a concerned citizen and property owner in Brockway, PA. I got a notice from BAI Group regarding the intention of Greentree Rail, LLC to file an application with PaDEP to utilize 15 acres for a waste transfer station in Snyder Twp. The waste transfer station will be in a residential area just outside the borough of Brockway. The transfer station will be located within feet of my driveway. Most likely the train unloading the waste will block access to my home which is a safety concern among other things. The increased truck traffic, noise pollution and smell will be major issues. My property value, as well as all surrounding homes, will be drastically affected by such a facility. Brockway is a beautiful small town in Pennsylvania and a waste transfer station will be detrimental to the community and it's citizens.
