I speak for myself and many others. This is unacceptable. It is a non-attainment area for PM 2.5 and ozone. The majority of this rail line will go through “High functioning wetlands” at a time of climate crisis on the cusp of an ecological catastrophe in the Great Salt Lake ecosystem. There will be significant noise and light impacts from the rail line, and it, along with the inland port will be disruptive to bird and human populations. There are many other problems with this, the switcher engines, the car and truck traffic. These lands need to be protected from this onslaught, or we will lose the birds and wildlife that is part of our valued open spaces. Thank you for considering this.
