Attention: Office of Environmental Analysis: Whoever concluded that the merger would have minimal impact on the entire certainly did not come to the area. Increasing freight traffic by 300% is hardly insignificant. Blocking grade crossings would affect fire, police and hospital emergencies...Then there is the air quality and noise impact. Taking 1400 trucks off the road would impact the trucking companies, and put those drivers out of work, but trucks do not block crossings, do not bellow their horns as freight "horn" bellows at all hours of the night. Seems profit is the only concern of management and stockholders...Certainly no one who claimed minimum problems on all the entire population of DuPage county has visited any town in that county. Yes, I repeated that. Which area or town in Iowa, Missouri or Texas has thought it was a good idea?
