Traveling westbound on Stearns through Bartlett, a trip I frequently make normally takes 20 minutes. If I catch a train, I can add another 20 minutes to my trip. Last week, waiting for an extremely long train going on 25 minutes, the train then stopped. Waited another 10 minute, it did not move; forcing me and other motorists to negotiate a u-turn to seek a detour. This frequently happens and is a public safety concern for detouring motorists as well as expense of gas and time. No to merger unless there are remedies, bridges etc to alleviate already existing conditions.
