This acquisition lies within the existing right of way and the environment is protected by the acquisition by enabling the goal of increasing public transit options in Louisiana. This will remove thousands of cars annually from the roadways and their emissions. Additionally, this will expand employment opportunities for the disadvantaged, improving environmental justice for those citizens.
