I am opposed to the merger between Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern, which could bring even more freight trains through Houston, specifically East End. As residents, we are deeply concerned that an increase in freight train traffic due to this proposed merger will exacerbate the issue of blocked crossings and further impact emergency response and mobility, as well as the environment.
