I'm very concerned about the impact on traffic being backed up due to extremely long trains or trains that stop on the tracks. I have been blocked by stopped freight trains countless times in my life. It has caused me to be late to things. That's definitely an inconvenience to people trying to get to work, appointments or school, but one of my biggest concerns is for Emergency Vehicles. A fire truck, ambulance, or police car responding to a call or transporting someone in need of immediate medical care can be stopped for, not just precious minutes, but hours. We do not want this merger. It will be damaging to our community, and possibly detrimental to many lives.
