My childhood home is in Scott County along Great River Road. Bald eagles hunt and fish in our trees. 14 more trains a day would totally disrupt the bald eagle population. I have low confidence the train system infrastructure is capable of handling the increases in traffic. Further, the private crossings to access our neighborhood are part of a sharp curve causing the train to appear quickly and sometimes without proper warning. During my time living at the home there were several collisions and death as a result of this curve. Increased traffic just increases these odds. In addition, the affect of noise pollution has a real impact on mental health. Numerous studies have linked noise pollution to increased anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. Even small increases in unwanted ambient sound have significant effects. This is an environmental hazard for our community
