Simply because animals may have exposure to railways and passing trains does not mean they will not be effected by a significant increase in the frequency of passing trains. If you let someone use an easement on your property for their family to access a road, does that mean you wont feel the effect should the family allow 30 other people to use the easement as well? These natural habitats will be effected by the increase in frequency of train passage. Considering that the Indiana bat (an endangered species) may be adversely effected by this decision, it is irresponsible and unethical to approve this proposed acquisition.
