I fully oppose this merger because the increased number of trains will produce much more loud and aggressive noise. The river towns of Iowa will be on the receiving end of this surging noise. The smaller cities chose not to sign million dollar agreements with Canadian Pacific to be silent on the matter. Sellout cities such as Davenport, Muscatine, and Bettendorf were all paid off in exchange for not commenting! I wonder what their thoughts would have been on the matter had they not accepted hush money. Shame!
