The proposed merge between Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern railroad poses a significant concern in increased railroad traffic. It inhibits commuters from getting across railways in a timely and functional manner. With the merger 14 additional trains are expected on the route which already increases my travel time to and from work. As a full time health technician at a hospital and as a full time mother, I cannot afford to constantly alter my transit time especially in cases of emergency. This also poses as a concern for emergency response vehicles and police services as there are no alternative routes around the rail tracks.
