This merger would be so detrimental in so many ways. My husband & I have recently renovated a dilapidated home in LeClaire Iowa right on the Mississippi river. The line that would be involved is literally out the back door about 50 feet from the back of this home. This home is part of the history and charm of LeClaire Iowa. We experienced a derailment January 2020, this was so scary being concerned about our property. We were fortunate that it was further south from us otherwise it would have taken out our home. We purchased this home to be able to enjoy LeClaire and the river. We rent this home as an airbnb and we enjoy it as well. We, as well as our guests love to sit on the deck and enjoy the view of the river, we often fish from there or just hang out and enjoy a fire. All activities that will not be enjoyable with 3xs the amount of train traffic. LeClaire depends on tourism and utilizes the riverfront so much and this merger will take away so much of the enjoyment and tourism dollars. Please consider all comments and concerns while deciding. Thank you Chanda & Jim Massengale
