To whom this may concern: PLEASE VOTE NO! We wish to add our concerns to this merger. Our home is within a very short distance from rail track that will be much affected by this merger if train traffic triples as stated. We must cross said tracks to and from our home and/or driveway. My husband and I are up in years where either one of us may need emergency help in the future. I have been diagnosed in the past with heart issues and have had a stroke. If we need emergency access to main road, there is a good possibility we will not be able to drive across tracks to get help due to a major addition to train traffic. Also, even now the noise from the horn and passing trains are very loud, Additional train traffic would extensively add to the noise both day and night that would affect our quality of life day and night. The additional train traffic also brings more ground shaking vibration that will most likely affect roads, driveways, and foundations. Our home is not the only home that would be affected by this merger as several other homes are in the same dilemma. Please consider this plea when making your final decision on this merger. I would be interested in any or all alternatives to our concerns, and thank you for reading our concerns. Jeff & Judy Eaton 3758 Midway Beach Road Muscatine, Iowa 52761
