I’m concerned about up to an extra 14 trains coming through my little town and putting out more air pollution than we already have. We get to much air pollution as it is from Ohare airport and the diesel trucks driving down the major route of 19 Irving Park Road. And if there would ever be a railroad accident in my little town, who knows what kind of toxins would be released into the air around here. Another huge concern is the stoppage of road traffic in Wood Dale. When a train comes through my town, it blocks traffic in all four directions on three different roads all at the same time. Please don’t allow these two railroad companies to merge.
