I am opposed to this merger. Wood Dale was a quiet community when I moved here in 1999. O'Hare airport expanded. Now I listen to planes all day and night. Planes fly 300 ft above my home. Yet I am not eligible for noise proofing insulation nor windows. There is no public transportation to the airport if I want to fly anywhere. My taxes continue to increase, while the quality of life here goes down. Now you want to increase the noise and vibration from freight trains? Increase congestion and delay traffic on Irving and Wood Dale Rd? Two train crossing in Wood Dale at the same intersection. How much more noise do we need to endure. DO NOT allow this merger to happen!
