This merger will add exponentially more train traffic would be coming through LeClaire. Of those, none will be passenger rail. This would only be to move goods more throughout North America & expand travel with Canada & Mexico; meaning much of this would be passthrough traffic of goods leaving the US. As the rail unions have left all of their employees without a contract for 2 years. This will put more stress on workers as well that have been overlooked in their value as employees to this industry. I would need to see more offered to our residents and the train workers to consider this a win for the City of LeClaire.
