The cost to communities outweighs the larger economic benefits here. Moving crude oil from Canada to Mexico might benefit those on either side of the line, but without any jobs or financial guarantees from CP or KCS, I fail to see how Minnesotans can feel good about this project. Not enough people know about it either. These companies need to do more community outreach!
