As a resident and parent in Kirkwood, Missouri, I live right between two very busy rail tracks. After reading about the Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern proposed merger, I stand firm in opposition. With the railroad merger, there will be more and longer trains each and every day along the route in the western and northern parts of Missouri and I don’t think any parent along the route should have to worry about their kids' safety while they’re walking to school. Due to this merger having more trains, there will be worries by all parents. I worry about my son having to cross two busy railroad tracks, so I can only imagine the fears that other parents in the community will face if this proposed acquisition by Canadian Pacific is approved by the STB.
