My family lives near the tracks in Davenport and I can't begin to describe how annoying this merger would be. We recently bought a house and I'm definitely worried about its resale value if three times the normal train traffic is blowing past it each day. All of the "mitigation" measures are terribly expensive for our town as well, so I really don't think this is in our best interest.
