I have written before. I live between the railroad tracks and the river, and my house is over 100 years old, and I have live here about 45 years. The trains have made their whistles louder, and for some reason they are noisier on the tracks. It used to be a few years ago with the windows closed the noise was muffled. Now it is as though the windows are open. The volume of noise is increasing, and sometimes they are so heavy they make my house shake, and I am about a football field away. This is not healthy for anyone. This is basically a residential area along H-67, and medical science has shown noise is a factor for poor health. The number of trains now is enough, and to add 14 more - all day and all night - is not healthy for our daily lives and trying to get sleep. Some of the engineers at night like to blow the whistle the entire length of the town, and that wakes us all up. 14 more opportunities hauling a potential accident waiting to happen, keeping us awake at night and shaking our houses is not good, especially since the crude oil is not coming from the U.S. or going to the U.S. There are plenty of stretches of farmland away from the river with less human population where those cars can run.
