Comment EI-32016

Received or sent (printed as 5/2/2022)

The proposed railroad merger between Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern is set to bring the first single line rail track from the Gulf of Mexico to Canada. This is only good for members of the two companies, and not good for people along the route, especially in the state of Missouri. These trains are set to become longer than the safety warnings issued by Missouri, and Canadian Pacific has yet to address these concerns. With the lack of safety due to the length of the trains getting longer, I also question why Canadian Pacific has yet to address the recent train derailments that have occurred within their company, and they still expect to make these trains longer in length.
