I live not too far away from train tracks in Bettendorf, and the reason I know that is because I can hear trains traveling through them all the time. The prospect of tripling the train traffic through the Quad Cities is annoying at best and destructive at worst. Not only will it slow traffic to a standstill, but will almost certainly hurt our quality of life overall. This proposed merger would provide benefit to almost no one in our community.
