I am extremely concerned about this project. Itasca has train tracks running through the middle of the village, dividing it into the south and the north part. Itasca's only police and fire stations are located on the south side. I am really concerned about the project's impact on the emergency response times. Also, our 3 schools are located on both south and north sides. The school buses have to cross the train tracks constantly, delivering students to and from schools. I am concerned about safety of students and busses not being able to deliver students on time. Furthermore, many residents are relaying on Metra to transport them to work or school. Will this new project affect Metra's schedule? (Received via project website)
