Any structures along the tracks will be constantly shaking and vibrating with this massive increase in rail traffic. I live on Center Street in Itasca behind the tracks and we've had objects fall off shelves with the current level of rail activity. The local fire department is across Irving Park Road and we moved into the community because of the location of EMS services. My son is a disabled, quadriplegic, ventilator dependent and medically fragile young adult. We've had past occurrences where we had to call EMS due to medical emergencies. Time is critical when these situations have occurred and the thought of even more and longer freight disruptions is a grave concern to our family the next time EMS is needed.
