I oppose this merger if it increases the freight train traffic through Itasca. Itasca is a small, quaint, friendly and quiet village. We have three schools in our town which are separated by the train tracks. Children regularly cross the tracks to get to school or to play sports. The increase in train traffic will cause safety concerns to parents and increase the traffic to cross town. In addition, the poor air quality is concerning as well. Please take these factors into consideration as this would significantly decrease the quality of living in Itasca which is currently a special community. (Received via project website)
