I am very opposed to the significantly increased rail traffic through this residential area of Liberty. This will cause major traffic delays on public crossings, increased accidents, increased noise, and destruction of more wildlife. Assuming the average train requires 10 minutes to clear a crossing, 14 additional trains per day means 2-1/2 hours more time each day with traffic impeded, cars idling causing air pollution, and drivers becoming enraged. As I live near one of the affected crossings the additional noise and traffic will have a very negative impact on my quality of life, property value, and general well being. This speaks nothing of the danger presented by potential oil spills and environmental pollution when (not if) an accident occurs. We do NOT need to take the additional risk or suffer the environmental damage this additional traffic brings. (Received via project website)
