Just found out about the merger and how it is going to effect our lives. We are 7 houses from the train tracks. The horns, the sounds of the train on the track the motions of the train are going to affect our daily, as is th e traffic on Irving Park Road. We are two lanes through the center of town and if the train blocks the tracks we will have a terrific traffic jam. With all that being said our Fire and Police Department would not be able to get to the other side of town in an emergency but that also means that those on the side with the fire and police department could not get to the nearest Hospital Alexian Brothers to save lives. This not only impacts Itasca but other neighboring towns. Please reconsider this merge and look at what harm and how it impacts the communities and the people who live there that it will go through.
