The intersection of Irving Park Rd (state route 19) and Wood Dale Road is already backed up and takes extra time just with the commuter trains and existing freight trains that come through. This intersection is the main crossroads between schools, stores and residential homes. Adding more freight trains will adversely affect the city of Wood Dale by: 1) making it even harder to cross town, 2) increase emissions as vehicles sit and wait for trains to pass, 3) increase air and noise pollution as more trains pass theough 4) cause emergency vehicles to be delayed getting to residents who need help, 5) as well as affecting the daily life of all residents of the city of Wood Dale. I am strongly opposed to adding more freight traffic through our city. (Received via project website)
