I have serious concerns about an increase in freight train traffic through Roselle. I worry about structural damage to our condo building over time with the 300% increase in freight trains we are told would occur. Our building is quite close to the tracks. I am also concerned about the air quality for our building, as we are so close to the tracks. I am concerned about noise and quality of life for residents of our building and the other condos & homes that line the train tracks. The freight trains can be loud, but they can also shake the building enough to wake you at times. Lastly, I worry about resale condo units and other homes near the tracks if this particular line starts carrying a drastically increased number of freight trains. WIll this make it difficult for homeowners along and near the tracks to sell their homes, should they need to? (Received via project website)
