I live in a condo building next to the railroad tracks (Main St, Roselle) and I am strongly opposed to increased freight train traffic. Our building literally vibrates when freight trains pass. I'm very concerned about what a 300% increase in freight traffic could do to the structural integrity of the building over time. From a quality of life standpoint, I also don't want my home to go from vibrating infrequently to a frequent and regular basis. Finally, freight trains sound their horns much louder and longer the commuter trains (sometimes even between 1-4 am, when they are not supposed to). Roselle is currently not a quiet zone and additional freight trains will significantly disrupt community enjoyment of Main St restaurants, shopping, and residential life. Please do not allow an increase in freight train traffic. Thank you. (Received via project website)
