I am a Professional Engineer in Illinois who has specialized in environmental and geotechnical engineering. Increased freight rail traffic in Roselle Illinois could result in an environmental catastrophe. Recent construction of apartment complexes just East of the commuter station would expose many residents if a petroleum car freight train were to derail. Can the railway guarantee such an accident would not occur? (Received via project website)
