I’m particularly concerned about potential impacts to traffic as well as emergency services. I recall in certain nearby towns when lengthy and frequent freight trains would block crossings for 20+ minutes, causing quite a few issues. Clearly those issues had enough of an impact to warrant an overpass being implemented. What is the plan for a small town like Itasca where if even a short freight train blocked our various crossings, we would have zero access to one side or the other of our town?
