I totally oppose this proposal. Those of us living near the Milwaukee have line has had to endure an increase in airplane noise and pollution with the completion of O'Hare and now we are being asked to add up to 8 freight trains, adding more noise and causing increase traffic jams. It's very hard now to get across Irving Park with the train crossings closed for long periods of time. The Fire Station is on the south side of Irving, with only one way for vehicles to cross by going way out of the way to one underpass. That does not work for the safety of our community. Roselle has finally developed a downtown area with outdoor eating. My husband and I find it impossible to enjoy the outdoors downtown or on our patios due to the constant train whistles blowing repeatedly, making it impossible to carry on a conversation. I think those of us living near this railroad line and airplane route has endured enough. (Received via project website)
