Adding 6-8 more freight trains through the already very busy Milwaukee District West line will negatively impact residents of the community but more importantly the environment. The increase will escalate the pollution the current diesel powered freights already produce which include global warming gases (carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide to name a few), they will increase the particulates in our air, will cause extreme noise pollution, and adding shaking of the land as the trains go by. All of these things will greatly impact the local environment – including humans, wildlife and plant life. We strongly disapprove of adding more freight traffic to this line as the environmental impact is too high. (Received via project website)
