My family and I oppose this acquisition and increased train traffic. Our town cannot accommodate an increase in the resulting auto traffic, noise pollution, air pollution, economic decline and safety hazards. The intersection of Roselle Road and Irving Park Road is already very dangerous with the existing train schedule. The noise pollution has already increased in Roselle from the new flight paths at O’hare. It would not be fair to the residents to increase the noise level yet again! The air pollution, especially in our downtown area, would directly impact our small businesses who have restaurants located directly on or across the tracks. With the pandemic sending more people outdoors, we don’t need more noise and air pollution preventing our small town festivals and local outdoor dining options to decrease. Please reconsider this merger and do not run more trains through the Milwaukee West District Line! (Received via project website)
