We know that freight rail rarely gives right of way to passenger traffic, even though they are supposed to. Freight traffic is a major cause of significant delays on Amtrak, and I doubt it would be better for Metra. W can expect traffic delays and safety problem is this goes through. Freight trains will cause negative environmental impact. What will be being shipped through our residential neighborhoods? Toxic or nuclear waste, petroleum, coal, or chemicals? Just the air pollution caused will be detrimental. The impact of a spillage could be disastrous. I certainly don't want this. (Received via project website)
