As a homeowner of Pembroke Estates, property adjacent to Rodenburg Road just south of the train tracks, I disagree with the proposal based on my personal triple bottom line analysis of the environmental impact this project will cause to the neighborhood. The additional train traffic will result in noise pollution, and additional traffic queuing which is bad for air quality caused by the idling of these vehicles for prolonged periods of time on Rodenburg Road due to passing freight trains. Economically it will cost the residents additional money to take the Elgin Ohare Tollway to travel northward to avoid the queuing due to the freight train passing. Not to mention the social impact due to the economics of traveling northward from Roselle. (received via project website)
