Wanda Sue Stump 8133 Summerset Dr. Anchorage Alaska,99518 907-349-4672 David Navecky STB Finance Docket No. 35095 Surface Transportation Board 395 E Street, SW Washington, DC 205423 I am commenting on the rail connection to Port Mackenzie. To Whom it may concern: I am a life-time resident of Alaska and I have some concerns about the proposed routes for the railroad. I live in Anchorage and have a business here also. My family, along with my employees, recreate frequently in the Big Lake, and the Willow area. We Boat and Jet Ski and do winter Snow Machining in both areas. We do spend more time in the Big Lake area than in the Willow area, as it is easier and shorter distance than Willow. Since I have lived in Alaska all my life, I have watched the Valley develop. The new rail will foster new development along the route, no matter which route is picked. It will also provide a new route for snow machines, and atv's. I was born 9 months after the 1964 Earthquake" and saw pictures of what happened to my parent's property here in Anchorage after that earthquake. Because of that, I have always been concerned about Earthquakes. The Castle Mountain earthquake fault concerns me with this new railroad going in. It appears that the Houston South route is right over that fault. I wouldn't think this would be a prudent choice, not to mention the proposed rail bed runs through a lot of critical wetlands. I have studied all of the proposed routes, and the direct route to Willow (the one to the west) route makes the most logical sense. This route appears to have the least impact on private land and the least impact on the lake systems and the Trails. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my concerns.
