Dear Surface Transportation Board, I am writing you to NOT approve the Tongue River Railroad proposed from the Otter Creek coal deposits. Why NOT approve this plan? Because eminent domain needed to build this is not an appropriate use and serves only big coal company Arch Coal for their profits to send coal to China and Asia. This railroad if allowed would devalue private property, destroy wildlife habitat, interfere with natural drainage and increase the chances for flooding, train noise would scare away wild animals and disrupt the peacefulness of the valley and recreational activities. Why not because the infrastructure tax payers would need to fund overpasses and rail route building, put up with increased traffic at crossings and impede emergency response vehicles. Coal should stay in the ground and not be sent to China to burn and increase our carbon dioxide emissions. Just say NO!
