I take my responsibility as an informed and active citizen seriously. The continued development of dirty coal is a proven threat to our health and safety, as well as an impediment to the development of safer, longterm solutions to our energy needs. I'm opposed to the proposed movement of mile long coal trains through my community headed to our coastal ports for shipment to China. Our community would bear all of the dangers and interruption in our daily lives while international corporations would reap all of the profits, this is unacceptable. In my community these coal trains would run on tracks seperating our high school and middle school. Oregonians should take these corporate exploitative attacks on our precious environment and satety as a personal insult and threat. Oregon is'nt for sale. Stay out of Oregon!
