Please consider the environmental damage increased train traffic causes to the people and the enviroment. The coal dust along with increased diesel particulates will result in increased disease among those with respiratory illnesses. Please study that impact. I am also concerned about the trains blocking crossings and thus making emergency vehicles stalled at crossings when a life may be in the balance. Please also study whether mining, transporting by train, then by ship, then burning in China will adversely affect the global climate. At a time when we now know how quickly we are warming, it appears that the impact of this project will expedite the warming and thus greatly impact our planet and future. Lastly coal prices are not competitive with natural gas and coal is becoming less attactive to mine and sell than other commodoties. Amy Glasser
