Mr Ken Blodgett, Our interest is the interest of all the people who condemn this coal train idea. Even if there were no environmental risks or dangers, the carbon dioxide coming back on the jet stream as the coal is burned in China and other Asian countries would overwhelm the Pacific Ocean and kill off all the shore life here in the Northwest. Ocean acidification would take place at a much higher rate than is going on now, and the eel beds and herring beds would be inundated with coal soot from the burning, killing the smaller creatures that feed the bigger ones. And Dr Kappan, sharer of the Nobel Prize, states that by the time the coal terminals are up and running, the Chinese will be using solar and wind power and will no longer need our coal. WHere does that leave the terminals and railroad infrastructure? Let's follow that example. Invest in the future, not the past where in doing so we will all suffer from the blowback of these coal trains. Thank you. Bonnie and Doug Rohrer
