Dear Ms. Johnson-Ball I am writing to you about an STB regulatory issue of great importance to me and my young family. Please support the use of the national enviromental protection act to require an enviromental impact survey with respect to the Harasimus branch which was improperly abandoned by Conrail in Jersey City. As a 22 year resident of this area I can attest to the importance of this historical and enviromental treasure. This greenway sits parallel to one of the most traffic snarlled areas of New York City. The loss of this special spot will have a great impact on the tranquility of our historic district as well as the carbon footprint in one of the most polluted city in the nation. Please bring this issue to the front of the STB agenda and pass this message along to Ms. Rustin, and Mr. Zimmerman. Thank you all for your consideration of this matter. Sincerely, Gregory Schwer
