A full environmental study must be completed. This is the only way for the true impact (not only to the environment but also to the adjoining neighborhoods) to be determined. If the demolition process is allowed, it will rob downtown Jersey City of an irreplaceable piece of it's history. Too many of Jersey City's historical landmarks have been callously stripped for monetary gain without community input. By keeping the Embankment as open-space it not only enriches the community's sense of history but helps to promote civic pride.
