As an interested and concerned homeowner of the Harsimus Cove Historic District in downtown Jersey City, I request that the Surface Transportation Board require that a full environmental study be completed with respect to the Embankment that spans downtown Jersey City along 6th Street. Before the demolition of this historic landmark structure is seriously considered, I believe the Surface Transportation Board must fully understand the potential impacts such drastic action could have on the historic downtown Jersey City neighborhood of which the Embankment is part. The demolition of the Embankment could have detrimental impact not only on the character & authenticity of the surrounding historic neighborhoods/districts, but also on the overall environment of the area. Before such rash action is allowed, the STB should require that a thorough environmental impact study be conducted so that ALL potential impacts of a demolition can be fully understood. Thank you, Eric Hagin
