Please perform a full environmental study. Conrail and the developer have not provided adequate information as to the environmental impact that would be caused by demolition of the 6th Street embankment. I live one block away. I am not satisfied that anyone has studied the level of toxins that would be released during demolition. There is no information as to how the demolition of the embankment would affect the structural integrity of my building and other buildings in the area. As you know the housing market has slowed. Any development of the embankment would take years. Allowing for the demolition of the embankment without a full environmental study poses an unreasonable risk to the neighborhood. Please perform a full environmental assessment.
