I'm a 20 year resident of Jersey City, and I believe that the community needs a full study of the effects that abandonment of the Harsimus Branch, and demolition of the Embankment, will have on our community and city. Demolition of this massive structure would affect air quality, noise, vibrations, heavy truck traffic through fragile historic districts and much more. I urge our elected officials to study this issue carefully and consider the public needs for open space and a healthy environment.
