Dear Mr. Blodgett, As a Hamilton Park resident, I am critically aware of the factors that make this neighborhood desirable and that contribute to its ongoing revitalization. Structures like the Harsimus Branch Embankment are unique and attractive features of the neighborhood that must be preserved at all costs and developed into unintrusive public recreational use. Thoughtlessly moving forward with any plan that bows to commercial interest would be an unfortunate missed opportunity and will detract from the neighborhood. I therefore insist on an evidence-based study that examines the effects, direct and indirect, immediate and cumulative, of abandonment, demolition, and reuse alternatives of the embankment. I thank you for your attention to this matter of vital importance.
