I am an alumni of St. Peter's Preparatory School and a graduate of Temple University with my BS Degree in Architecture. Jersey City has a special place in my heart, and while (as an architect) I will always support development, I have been dismayed by the rampant and poorly planned development that has strangled downtown. With the industry that once dominated the Jersey City waterfront now gone, a spectacular opportunity to forge Jersey City into a World Class City has been created. Please do not allow the Harsimus RR branch in downtown Jersey City to be torn down to make way for condominiums. The rail bed provides an opportunity to create a vibrant public space that would celebrate Jersey City's rich history and enrich the lives of its citizens. I want a full and fact-based Environmental Impact Study of the entire Harsimus Branch. It is my hope that design professionals of all backrounds can come together with the community within Jersey City to create a city that we can be proud of. Thank You
