Dear Sirs: I am writing to request an Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed demolition of the Embankment. As a homeowner whose home is next to the embankment, I am very concerned regarding health risks that will accompany such demolition. One can only imagine what is in the soil of the Embankment from many years of rail car travel over it. This raises the concern that those of us who are in close proximity to the Embankment will be forced to breath in contaiminated dust and debris during the demolition process.
